Mohamed Salah, a forward player for Liverpool, has been named the Premier League's Player of the Year for the second time in three seasons. The award was given to Salah by his teammates and fans after he scored 41 goals and provided 22 assists in all competitions this season. However, there is another player who also deserves recognition for his outstanding performances this season - Riyad Mahrez, a winger for Manchester City. Despite being born in Algeria,Campeonato Brasileiro Action Mahrez has played most of his career in England with Leicester City before joining Manchester City last summer. One of the highlights of Mahrez's season was his performance against Aston Villa on January 26th. In that match, Mahrez had one of the best individual performances of the season as he scored two goals and assisted another to help City win 5-0. His first goal came in the 77th minute when he dribbled past three players before slotting the ball into the bottom corner. His second goal came in the 88th minute when he received the ball from David Silva and drove it into the net from just outside the box. Mahrez's tackling ability has also been impressive this season. He has made 22 tackles in 19 Premier League games so far this season, which is more than any other player in the league. He has also completed 100% of his attempted tackles, which is an impressive record. Overall, Mahrez's performances this season have been exceptional and he should be considered for the PFA Young Player of the Year award. He has shown why he is one of the best players in the world and deserves to be recognized for his achievements. |
